I would like to thank the Board of Directors for the ongoing support they have offered me during my time with the Association. Since the inception of the Interim Board of Directors through to today, we have functioned through consensus and a shared commitment to the values of the association on behalf of all administrators. I am honoured to have their continued confidence and for endorsing my continued role as Chair of the Association for the next two years. It is an exciting opportunity to be a part of our journey with the opportunity to consolidate our first MOU and stabilize our long term structures and foundation. Going forward I believe we can make further strides to elevate the profession and augment support for current administrators. Public school leaders are in very demanding roles in the midst of very challenging times. The association is the vehicle to promote and advocate on your behalf.
I am very pleased that we continue forward with many returning board members and some brand new perspectives at the table. Thank you to Scott Armstrong for accepting the nomination as Treasurer, and to Maria Carty and Michelle Coleman for continuing on with their roles as Vice-Chair and Secretary. Our Board is a strong representative for administrators from every corner of the province and every level.

PSAANS AGM - November 5th, 2020 - MINUTES
Attached below are the minutes for the PSAANS Annual General Meeting that was held on November 5th, 2020. These minutes will be approved at next year’s Annual General Meeting. We are circulating them now while it is fresh in everyone's memory in case any errors or omissions are noted. MOU NEGOTIATIONS
Meetings in support of the development of the first Memorandum of Understanding between PSAANS / AAEPNE and the EECD were held on Tuesday, November 10th, 2020 and Friday November 13th, 2020.
During the employment talks, the following items were discussed (section # sited corresponds to current Terms and Conditions document):
- Section 1: Administrator Appointment
- Section 3: Respectful Workplace and Learning Environment
- Section 7: Termination and Resignation
- Section 8: School Year
- Section 13: Other Absences
- Section 15: Administrator Movement
Additional sessions are scheduled for:

The Nova Scotia Instructional Leadership Academy is pleased to announce that the Academy has an opening for an instructor, Winter Term 2021.
Details are outlined in the "Contract Opportunity" attachment.

NOMINATION DU EXÉCUTIF DE L’AAEPNE - 12 novembre 2020

Je tiens à remercier le conseil d'administration pour le soutien continu qu'il m'a offert pendant mon temps avec l'Association. Depuis la création du conseil d'administration intérimaire, jusqu'à aujourd'hui, nous avons fonctionné par consensus et par un engagement commun envers les valeurs de l'association au nom de tous les administrateurs. Je suis honoré d'avoir leur confiance continue et d'appuyer mon rôle continu en tant que président de l'Association pendant les deux prochaines années. C'est une occasion passionnante de faire partie de notre voyage avec la possibilité de consolider notre premier protocole d'entente et de stabiliser nos structures et nos fondations à long terme. À l'avenir, je crois que nous pouvons faire de nouveaux progrès pour élever la profession et augmenter le soutien aux administrateurs actuels. Les dirigeants des écoles publiques jouent des rôles très exigeants au milieu de périodes très difficiles. L'association est le véhicule pour promouvoir et défendre votre cause.
Je suis très heureux que nous continuions de progresser avec de nombreux membres du conseil qui reviennent et de nouvelles perspectives à la table. Merci à Scott Armstrong d'avoir accepté la nomination au poste de trésorier et à Maria Carty et Michelle Coleman pour avoir continué leurs fonctions de vice-présidente et de secrétaire. Notre conseil est un solide représentant des administrateurs de tous les coins de la province et de tous les niveaux.

Vous trouverez ci-dessous le procès-verbal de l'assemblée générale annuelle de l’AAEPNE qui s'est tenue le 5 novembre 2020.
